| چکیده | ||

| چکیده [English] | ||
| Existential states refer to those intrinsic, constitutive, and inseparable features of human existence through which a person’s being and identity are expressed across all conditions of life and in multiple dimensions, including spiritual, material, moral, cognitive, individual, social, and beyond. These states are not accidental attributes of human life; rather, they shape the very way human existence is lived and understood. Human existential states can be examined through four fundamental relationships: the human relationship with God, with oneself, with the world, and with others. Without a proper understanding of these existential states, neither a comprehensive understanding of human existence nor an adequate grasp of the meaning of life is possible. One of the defining characteristics of existential states is their mysterious and lived nature: they are primarily experienced and endured rather than merely grasped through abstract cognition. Among the most significant human existential states are worldhood, finitude, transcendence, freedom, death, thrownness, anxiety, fallenness, embodiment, and related phenomena. These states disclose the conditions under which human existence unfolds and reveal the tensions and possibilities inherent in being human. The relationship between existential states and the meaning of life can be explored from three distinct perspectives. First, existential states play a decisive role in shaping the three core components of human life: purpose, value, and function. Second, they contribute to the discovery or construction of life’s meaning, either by revealing pre-given significance or by enabling humans to actively constitute meaningThird, existential states incline individuals toward one of three general approaches. | ||
